Event Staff Needed – All Day Film Screening Event

Date: Sunday, October 5th, 2025

Location: School of Visual Arts – The Beatrice Theatre (333 W 23rd Street, New York, NY 10011)

Shift: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM (11 hours, including set up & breakdown)

Pay: $18/hour (NON-Payment handling roles) & $20/hour (Payment handling roles)

 

 

Event Overview​

B. Frank Film Festival is a full-day film screening event with the following timeline:

​

Setup (11AM–12:30PM)

Active Event (12:30 PM – 8:30 PM) 

Breakdown (8:30PM–10PM)

There will be two breaks (lunch and dinner), plus access to a green room and limited complimentary snacks. Between screenings, there will be networking/socializing time for guests, which are key active periods where staff are expected to be attentive and guest-facing in their roles. 

 

Available Roles

Box Office Attendant: Sell tickets, handle transactions, assist with guest questions.

Front Door Attendant: Greet guests, scan tickets, and provide directions.

Concessions/Merch Worker: Sell snacks/drinks, manage inventory, keep area clean.

Support role: Restock and help maintain the bar/lobby area.

Usher: Guide guests, manage seating, support transitions between screenings.

 

General Expectations

o Arrive on time by 11AM to SVA Theatre

o Be active, attentive, and professional with all guests

o Assist during high-traffic networking/social breaks between screenings

o Help with setup (11AM–1PM) and breakdown (8PM–10PM)

o Stay flexible — you may be reassigned as needed

o Dress code: All-black, semi-formal (no sweats), comfortable shoes.
